A new partnership with CENSIS

Vox Imaging Technology Partners with CENSIS to develop key components for the VoxOne cSLO

We are pleased to announce our partnership with CENSIS, to develop key technology for our flagship product, the VoxOne confocal Scanning Laser Ophthalmoscope (cSLO), designed for retinal imaging in preclinical research.

CENSIS are a Glasgow-based, not-for-profit innovation delivery organisation specialising in digitalisation and advanced enabling technologies.  Established in 2013 they have completed over 400 successful projects supporting UK industry across a wide range of industries including health and social care, manufacturing, transport and the natural and built environment.

Our contract with CENSIS will leverage its expertise in precision sensing, electronics, hardware design, prototyping and firmware development to create a custom high-speed, high-performance video data acquisition sub-system for incorporation in our imaging pipeline.  Coupled with our SiPM sensor and low noise amplifier technology we expect that the VoxOne will produce high dynamic range, low noise images with sensitivity to the single photon level.

“CENSIS’s expertise and experience in device integration for medical and sensor systems is synergistic with our own core expertise in optical and optronic instrument development.” said Alan Robinson, CTO of Vox Imaging Technology.  “With their experience in developing product-focused technology we are confident in our ability to deliver an instrument capable of producing the highest quality, high dynamic range images.  We are optimistic that this is the beginning of a great collaboration.”

Advancing Imaging Innovation

Vox Imaging Technology Partners with Agenda Life Sciences for Advancing Imaging Innovation

Vox Imaging Technology is pleased to announce the signing of a strategic agreement with Agenda Life Sciences, a leading research service provider and co-tenant at Discovery Park, Sandwich, Kent. This collaboration will facilitate the testing and advancement of our innovative new VoxOne Confocal Scanning Laser Ophthalmoscope for retinal imaging in preclinical models or research.

“We are extremely pleased to partner with Agenda Life Sciences. Their expertise will be invaluable in rigorously testing and refining our technology, ensuring our instrument delivers the highest quality images and the best possible ergonomic user experience” said Peter West, CEO of Vox Imaging Technology. “This collaboration marks a significant step forward in our mission to advance experimental retinal imaging  technology, coupling performance with usability.  This is a great example of the collaboration opportunities here at Discovery Park; the campus offers a dynamic research environment with a diverse community of potential partners.”

We will be conducting proof-of-principle in vivo imaging studies to test and validate VoxOne’s imaging performance in the laboratory environment shortly.  Agenda’s facilities offer a high-quality research environment which is available on an ‘as needed’ basis with substantial expert laboratory support which is cost effective.

We look forward to a productive partnership and the innovative progress it will bring.
